For the last two years, VMLY&R COMMERCE UK has achieved Gold CPD [Continual Professional Development] Accreditation from the UK Institute of Practitioners of Advertising [IPA]. And now for the third year running, the IPA has awarded the agency gold accreditation in recognition of our commitment to learning and development created and delivered by the UK People Team throughout 2020.

Michelle Whelan, UK CEO has commented, “The gold accreditation is a wonderful celebration of the care, commitment and sheer hard work from the UK People Team: Elke van Tienen, Kate Scott, Cathy Henderson, Hannah Wilson and Emily Agg over the past 12 months. It’s one of the highest accolades in our business for learning, spot-lighting our success as a centre of excellence.  To win once is wonderful, to continue winning year after year is proof that our success is sustainable.”

The submission process is rigorous – with year-long reporting on impact across all talent initiatives from wellbeing to learning and development programs, from work experience to 1:1 coaching and leadership development. It measures the direct correlation between learning and development and business success.

Global Head of People, Elke van Tienen observes, “This is a magnificent result for the UK agency – and real testament to our success in continuing to place learning and development at the heart of our culture and business. It’s a true agency-wide commitment, with leadership and learning champions collectively driving and supporting learning and growth for our people. Thank you to everyone for making this well-deserved recognition possible.”

When applying for CPD Gold Accreditation, agencies must demonstrate that CPD lies at the heart of their business, building a strong learning culture, in support of real business objectives and the development of employees professionally and personally.  The agencies that have achieved CPD Gold Accreditation for their outstanding professional development program over the last 12 months will be celebrated at an event on 26 May.

We are raising a toast to celebrate!
