VMLY&R COMMERCE Launches in Puerto Rico

Carlos Laureano, COO, VMLY&R COMMERCE Puerto Rico

The Puerto Rico office of the multinational advertising company VMLY&R launched VMLY&R COMMERCE on the island, a new business vertical that encompasses retail strategies, shopper marketing, e-commerce, social commerce, and experiential marketing. This new unit of the agency specializes in the development of creative solutions that inspire consumer conversion during the purchase process, also known as the consumer journey.

The agency capability was formally unveiled at a recent client and media event during the panel Connecting Commerce: Inspire conversion in the moment, regardless of channel. A group of senior executives from various VMLY&R COMMERCE U.S. offices arrived on the island to accompany the Board of Directors of the local agency to make the announcement. They were joined by newly announced Puerto Rico COO Carlos E. Laureano, who has been working for WPP’s operating companies in Puerto Rico for the last 19 years. Now, Laureano will led the transformation of Commerce in the island.

“VMLY&R COMMERCE has offices and specialized resources in major cities worldwide, all of which will be available to our clients in Puerto Rico with the support of our highly experienced local team. The value that brands can bring to the lives of consumers becomes increasingly relevant each day. This new endeavor specializes in creating ideas that generate a connection between brands and consumers, and converts them into users, whether through online or offline experiences, on social media or in the supermarket aisle,” said Carlos Laureano.

“The launch of VMLY&R COMMERCE in Puerto Rico reflects the local focus on creativity with commercial impact.  With Carlos Laureano in the lead, we further our commitment to servicing the market across the end-to-end journey, scaling business growth for clients and expanding the creative canvas for ambitious talent,” added Beth Ann Kaminkow, Global CEO, VMLY&R COMMERCE.
