North America’s Chief People Officer Arnicia Arrington has joined WPP’s inaugural Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) committee, The Collective. The Collective brings together I&D, Talent and People leaders across the WPP network for a shared purpose – to build a culture where people feel they belong and to build a connected I&D community.
Although she serves as a champion for I&D within the North American office, Arnicia’s learnings and insights from The Collective are not limited only to her region. She regularly shares these with the People community across the Geometry network as the team seeks to build a more inclusive workplace.
“I am passionate about making an impact, connecting people of different ethnicity, religion, sexual orientations, or any other label people use to put people into buckets. No matter what your background, we are all the same. We’re all human beings with hopes and dreams, successes and failures, triumphant wins and heart-crushing defeats,” says Arnicia.
Arnicia has worked in HR for more than a decade, having joined the industry initially as a means of bringing about change. “I’ve always been a champion for I&D regardless of where I worked. I knew that coming to this industry would allow me to be part of the team working to create inclusivity and diversity within our industry and that was really important to me. At the end of the day, I want to make sure I’ve done everything possible to make this a better Geometry for every single person.”
