
Geometry UK CEO Michelle Whelan has joined the Advisory Council for ad:tech London and eCommerce Expo. Both pioneering platforms at the heart of marketing, tech and eCommerce, bringing together brands who want to experience the now, the new and the not- quite-yet technology, ideas, techniques and inspiration.
As background, ad:tech is the UK’s global gathering of marketing, advertising, tech players, and investors. Last year it brought to stage leadership from iconic brands across a raft of business responsibilities including: Head of Social, Content Virgin Trains; Head of Digital Content IBM; Director of Distribution Harrods; Trading Director, BonMarché; Global eCommerce Lead, Beauty Personal Care, Unilever; Digital Content & Commerce Lead [EMEA] GSK.
Meanwhile, E-commerce Expo focuses on B2B or B2C ecommerce exploring the entire customer journey from acquisition to conversion, delivery to retention. Speakers in 2019 included Head of e-commerce Nestlé EMEA; Head of Tech & Innovation, Diageo; UK CEO, Hello Fresh; Global Head of Digital Data & eCommerce Coty; CEO Target Group; Head of Customer Service Logistics, Unilever; Group Digital Director Mclaren.
Geometry UK Partnership
Agency partnership began in 2018 when Michelle curated and hosted a full-house session in the Innovation Theatre with Just Eat, Visa and Fuel 3D leadership on “Disrupting with innovation - three disruptor brands to learn from”. Ramesh Krishnamurthy, Geometry UK Director of Data, Technology & Experience led conversation on “Personalisation: Why is customer context key?”.
The relationship continued in 2019 when Michelle held a fireside discussion with Microsoft's trail-blazer Jonathan Barrett, EMEA Director - Strategic Deals and Partnerships Enterprise Commercial Sectors, on "How to transform into a human-centric business: lessons from Microsoft".
The Advisory Council sees Michelle join the likes of Brenda Fiala, Global VP Insights & Analytics, Bacardi; Gareth Mellor, UK& EU Marketing Director, Kobalt Music; Tom Goodwin Head of Futures & Insight Publicis Group. Further leadership to be announced shortly.
