Geometry Colombia Named Agency of the Year 2019


Agency garners 2 Grand Prix and 3 Gold at ElDorado Awards.

Geometry, WPP’s End-to-End Creative Commerce Agency, has been named Agency of the Year at ElDorado, Colombia’s most prestigious awards festival. The agency garnered 2 Grand Prix, along with 3 Gold for their work with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

UNDP’s “Peace Products”, a campaign that helped turn thousands of farmers into entrepreneurs of unique products, took home a Grand Prix. The campaign aimed to support small farmers who were committed to the country’s forest conservation by connecting them with entrepreneurs interested in establishing Fair Trade relationships.

“Being named as Agency of the Year is a great achievement for us and one that makes me so proud,” said Geometry Colombia CEO Xavier Serrano, commenting on the win. “This recognition reflects the culmination of continued hard work and outstanding performance by our team as we work to deliver solutions that drive positive impact for our clients.”

General Creative Director Edwin Pineda added, “Year after year we create award-winning ideas for our clients. To have now reached this milestone of being named Agency of the Year in Colombia is such an accomplishment. It encourages us to continue developing creative solutions that win for our clients, but at the same time reminds us of the importance of staying true to our values in the work we produce.”

Junior Copywriter Natalia Chona and Junior Art Director Natalia Cabrera were also awarded a Grand Prix for Young Golds for their work on Waste2Worth’s #BrandDetox, which focused on helping consumers detox from brands in order to create a more sustainable planet. The campaign was also named Best Idea at the ElDorado festival. As a result of the wins, the duo will now have the opportunity to participate in Young Lions Colombia 2020. 

Hosted by the ElDorado International Creative Industry Festival, the ElDorado Awards celebrate the ideas that position Colombia among the creative powers of the world and at the most important festivals worldwide.
