
VMLY&R COMMERCE announces Carina Blaas as its new e-commerce and D2C (Direct to Consumer) Director for Brazil and Latin America. Carina will partner with Client Services and Operations Lead Ana Toscano reporting to VMLY&R Brazil's CEO Fernando Taralli and to John Lynn, VMLY&R's CEO for Latin America.
Carina's arrival is aligned with VMLY&R's strategy of offering end-to-end solutions, integrating Brand Experience (BX) and Custumer Experience (CX). “We think about the consumer journey in an integrated way. Therefore we offer shopper marketing, e-commerce and trade marketing services together with a communication which is widely recognized for its creative excellence,” says Taralli. “Thanks to her experience in digital solutions, Carina will accelerate this mindset and help us to expand the Commerce capability.”
Carina's career spans 14 years, with work across Fjord, Accenture Song's consultancy company for design and innovation. There she was responsible for guiding the sales team with an aim to promote the client’s digital transformation. Prio to that she worked at VTex, Movile, Huge and Ogilvy, among other companies. She has served clients such as Coca-Cola, Ipiranga, Boticário, Samsung, C&A, Tok&Stok, Whirpool, Grupo Soma, Pague Menos, SCJohnson, GSK and Bayer.

The appointment follows the recent success of VMLY&R COMMERCE globally at the 2022 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and the advent of the Creative Commerce Lions category.
