Filipe is a Portuguese Strategic Planning professional with a degree in Business Communication and an MBA in Strategic Marketing.
Over the 16 years, he has travelled to gain vast experience working in international agencies in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico, USA and now, Malaysia. Through his journey, Filipe has acquired diverse experience and wide-range of cultural knowledge and understanding to develop and implement marketing, advertising and digital strategies, ability to elevate client business through efficient solutions.
He is now the Chief Strategy Officer for VMLY&R Malaysia. Since 2021, he has headed VMLY&R’s Muslim Intel Lab which is a data and insight service to help brands explore and understand the needs, aspirations, and behaviors of Muslim consumers across all market segments and Halal product categories. This Intel Lab unifies data across multiple sources and partners to uncover intelligence and insights across all cultural touchpoints, spanning values, lifestyle and commerce. In September 2022, Muslim Intel Lab collaborated with Wunderman Thompson Intelligence to produce an in-depth research report into the identity and lives of the 250 million Muslims who live in Southeast Asia title “The New Muslim Consumer: New Research Shows How Rising Observance is Reshaping the Consumer Landscape in Southeast Asia and Beyond”.
