Global Executive Director of Growth and Innovation

As Global Executive Director of Growth and Innovation Charlie is responsible for driving agency growth and bringing new offerings to market for brands. As part of this, he leads an innovation team, "co:lab", which has expertise across Partnerships; Emerging Channels (such as Web3 and Gaming); Growth Audiences; and Experience Promotions.
 
Charlie brings a wealth of commerce experience, including running the Direct-To-Consumer practice at VMLY&R, as well as New Business for VMLY&R Commerce. Prior to joining, he spent five years at a global fashion retailer, where he initially led global menswear marketing and later, U.S. Strategy.
 
He provides regular thought-leadership, including VMLY&R Commerce’s bi-weekly newsletter, “The Commerce Cut”, and was part of a WPP-wide team that published two books on D2C – “D2C DNA” and “The Six Steps To Direct-To-Consumer Success”. He is also a Client Engagement Lead for one of the agency’s major North American clients.
